Developmental Disabilities

Families caring for a child or loved one with developmental disabilities often carry unique emotional, logistical, and relational challenges. Family members may experience chronic stress, advocacy fatigue, shifting family roles, and difficult decisions about support systems and long-term planning. I work closely with families navigating these dynamics, while also providing therapy for individuals with developmental disabilities. In my work with individuals, I focus on supporting emotional expression, building regulation skills, and fostering greater independence and self-understanding. Across both family and individual work, my approach emphasizes strengthening communication, supporting emotional regulation, and developing practical strategies that promote stability, connection, and resilience in daily life.
