Anxiety
Anxiety can show up as overthinking, constant worry, feeling on edge, difficulty relaxing, or feeling like your mind is always trying to anticipate what could go wrong. Sometimes anxiety is connected to experiences that happened in the past, even when you know logically that you are safe now.
Rather than focusing only on managing anxiety symptoms, I work to understand what may be driving them. Together, we look at the experiences, beliefs, and patterns that may be keeping your nervous system in a state of alert. EMDR and Brainspotting can be used to process experiences that continue to influence how you respond to stress, relationships, uncertainty, or perceived threat.
As we identify and process what is underneath the anxiety, the goal is to help you feel less controlled by worry and reactivity. We also develop practical tools for emotional regulation, so you can respond to everyday situations with greater calm, clarity, and confidence.
