Later Life Transitions

Later life can bring meaningful new opportunities, but it can also bring changes that are difficult to navigate. Retirement, changes in health or independence, shifting family roles, caregiving, grief and loss, and changes in relationships can all affect how you see yourself and your future.

I work with adults who are adjusting to these changes, as well as those facing concerns about memory, cognitive changes, or a diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment or dementia. These experiences can bring uncertainty, anxiety, grief, and difficult decisions for both individuals and their families. Therapy provides a place to process these changes, talk openly about what you are experiencing, and find ways to move forward.

EMDR and Brainspotting may be helpful when grief, trauma, anxiety, or difficult life experiences continue to affect you. We can also work on practical concerns such as communication, relationships, managing stress, and adjusting to changes in your role or independence.

My goal is to help you stay connected to what gives your life meaning while adapting to what has changed. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, confidence, and peace of mind while finding ways to maintain connection, purpose, and quality of life.
